Design Auction #14: Cindy Sherman is Auctioning Off Her Stuff
Rei Kawakubo and Prada private collections also on auction, and more.
This week we’re doing things a little bit different, there are three whole auctions I want to highlight for you:
Rei Kawakubo & Comme des Garçons Private Collection: a lot of nearly 500 pieces being auctioned off in Paris (at Piasa on Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré 75008) on Wednesday, October 1 at 14:00.
Cindy Sherman is auctioning off furnishing from her pied-à-terre in Paris the very next day (also at Piasa) at 17:00. There are over 200 lots in this sale and it includes pieces by Peter Fischli & David Weiss, some furniture, and fashion. Who would’ve known she likes brazilian design… she has two Joaquim Tenreiro pieces in there.
Prada Private Collection: with over 300 lots, this auction created by Art Research will also take place in Paris at 174 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, on Tuesday, September 30 at 16:00.
